Volare Italian Ristorante… located at 2300 Frankfort Avenue is Louisville’s Premier Italian Ristorante and has been an amazing generous sponsor of the Halloween for Huntington’s Fundraiser event since the beginning. Josh Moore and Jonathan Tarullo annually donate to our VIP crowd a tasty assortment of cold appetizers and deserts.
Volare Italian Ristorante is a fine dining restaurant serving modern Italian cuisine with southern hospitality. Volare, “to fly” in Italian, is a fitting namesake for a dining experience that soars, ascending beyond the ordinary.
Filled with contemporary Italian-inspired artwork, a floor to ceiling wine rack and a large mural of Venice, the atmosphere at Volare is nothing short of sublime. Crisp, white-linen tables fill the spacious area with intimate soft candlelight. This refined and welcoming dining area nods to the rustic beauty of Italian eateries with burnished wood and exposed brick. It is the perfect place for your special occasion.
The History of Volare
Since opening our doors in August 2004, Volare has remained one of the great locally owned and operated treasures within Louisville’s thriving restaurant scene, serving locals and visitors alike.
In September 2017, Volare enhanced the dining experience with an interior re-design. The dining area now welcomes guests with a streamlined palette and the addition of new drapery that elegantly frames Volare’s custom mural. Today a one-of-a-kind glasswork, commissioned by a local artist, separates the seating area from the Volare bar.
The Volare Experience
Guests will find our Executive Chef and Managing Partner Joshua Moore in the kitchen, preparing fresh and inspired dishes, utilizing locally- sourced ingredients and house- made products. While Managing Partner and General Manger Jonathan Tarullo manages the front of the house.
Volare boasts a menu reminiscent of time-honored Italian traditions, paired with a refreshingly modern feel and attitude. Live music is offered Wednesday through Saturday in the bar area, where guests can enjoy a menu filled with a variety of appetizers and flatbread pizzas, along with premium wines at half price by the bottle every evening.
